We Found Every Good Prime Day Deal on Amazon Devices

Amazon's Fire tablets and Echo speakers aren't terribly expensive—they're built to be affordable. Still, Prime Day gives you a chance to buy them for even less. If you need a tablet or want to add Alexa to your house, now is the time to do it. Kindles are another matter. The ebook reader doesn't go on sale as often, which makes these Kindle deals even better. We've compiled every decent deal on Amazon-branded devices happening from now through the end of Amazon's Prime Day sale (October 13-14). Amazon has a Device Deals page with many of its best deals, but we have the ones we like organized below, with our thoughts and links to our coverage.
Be sure to check out our Early Prime Day Tips and Deals , Walmart Deals, and sign up for our weekly Deals Newsletter . We'll cover Prime Day much more in the days ahead.Gear readers can get a 3 Month Trial Subscription to WIRED for $1 this week. A subscription gives unlimited ad-free access to WIRED along with our print magazine if you’d like. It normally costs $30 per year.

  • Echo Dot (4th Gen) 2-Pack for $80 ($20 off): Amazon's brand new Echo Dot is already on sale (it ships October 22). This update is louder than previous generations, with a spherical shape and a similar compact footprint. We haven't tested them yet, but we are confident they'll be better than the last generation. See our Alexa speaker guide for more details. Use the coupon code DOT2PK at checkout to get this deal.
  • Echo Show 5 for $45 ($45 off): This is the best price we've seen on the Echo Show 5, Amazon's smaller smart home display . The same price extends to a version that includes a free one-year subscription to Food Network Kitchen, a service that offers cooking tips and recipes. We reviewed it here .
  • Echo Dot Kids Edition (3rd Gen) for $35 ($20 off): This is basically a colorful version of the hockey puck you're familiar with. What sets it apart is the free one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ (formerly known as FreeTime Unlimited). Alexa can read books to your kids, play age-appropriate music, and answer questions like "Why is the sky blue?" It also comes with a two-year worry-free guarantee, so if your kid spills juice and breaks the speaker, you're covered.
